Skill-based coaching is a relatively focused, practical and customized skill building to help managers to gain insight, learn new behaviors and skills, and apply them in the job to achieve tangible improvement in performance.

Scope of coverage Typically focuses on 2-3 key skill areas, such as planning, managing execution, motivating others, developing people, consensus building, influencing, fostering teamwork, etc.
Frequency of sessions Typically 2 hours every 2-3 weeks over 6-9 months
Assessment Typically self reflection, 180 or 360 degree feedbacks, structured behavioral interview, conversation with boss and HR personnel
